Island #5. Tuna wreck was sunk In 2003 by the Thai government in order to create an artificial reef and additional dive site southwest of Island #5. The 30m/98ft long trawler is 12m/36ft at its widest point and lays on its side almost perfectly intact, on the seabed at a maximum depth of 40m/131st. The top of the wreck is 28m/92ft and therefore within the range of advanced recreational diving. Stretching away from the wreck back towards the islands the reef slopes upwards and is comprised of boulders, coral bommies and rocky outcroppings broadly covered by soft corals, gorgonians and encrusting corals before reaching the shallow plateau.
