North of the west ridge, running east to west the taller of the two Koh Bon Pinnacles rises up to 18m/59ft below the surface at its shallowest point whilst the shorter pinnacle stops at 24m/79ft. The site also experiences strong currents and is therefore not suitable for inexperienced or open water level divers. Huge schools of juvenile barracuda and bigeye snapper congregate around the pinnacle heads, hovering in the current. Surrounding the pinnacles the sandy bottom exceeds depths of 45m/148ft so whilst out of the range of recreational diving, with good visibility it's great to look down into the blue and spot larger pelagics.
