Las Cuevitas is a healthy, busy reef which starts at 9m/30ft and slopes gently down into the soft, sandy bottom at 13m/43ft. There are plenty of beautifully decorated channels and swim-thrus to explore where spiny lobster and the occasional nurse shark hide in amongst the overhangs and crevices. Colourful sea fans and feathery gorgonians sway in the gentle surge along the edge of the reef where tilefish shimmy nervously above their hiding holes in the sand.
