Behind a spectacular sand dune Yucab's expansive field of turtle grass stretches out into the soft white sands scattered with dense, low profile outcroppings of vibrant corals and colourful sponges. Large schools of grunts and schoolmaster snapper congregate around the coral structures for protection from the current and spiny lobster and moray eels hide in amongst the cracks and crevices. It is not unusual to spot a longsnout seahorse perfectly camouflaged, swimming between the fire corals.
